Inaugural ceremony of the Centenary of St. Gregorios' dukrono & the 125th anniversary of the 'Mulunthuruthy Synod'
The Union Minister for State for Textiles, Mr. Dhananjay Kumar inaugurated the centenary ceremonies of Parumala St.Gregorious' dukrono and the 125th anniversary of the historical Mulunthuruthy Synod, at the Mulunthuruthy Mar Thoman Church on 2nd November 2001. The Catholicos-designate Mor Dionysius Thomas presided over the function. The Chief Metropolitan of the East Mor Clemis Abraham, the Kerala Church Council president Dr. Sam Mathew, the Minister for Irrigation Mr. T M Jacob and the Minister for Fisheries Mr. K V Thomas were among those who offered felicitations. Mor Gregorious Joseph, the secretary of the Holy Synod & chairman of the organizing committee welcomed the gathering. A priority list of the services and events to be executed in the next one year has also been announced by Mor Gregorious Joseph on the occasion.
The biography of St. Gregorious ('Parishudha Kochu Thirumeni') written by Malankara Malpan Very. Rev. (Dr.) Curien Corepiscopa Kaniamparambil was released by presenting the first copy to the Honourable Minister T M Jacob. The formal inauguration of our exclusive website ParumalaThirumeni.org, was also done at the function by Mor Philixenous Yuhanon, the Metropolitan of Malabar diocese.
