The St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church is situated in Madhodi village, about 130 Kms north of Mangalore and 5 Kms from NH 17. Set in the middle of the western Ghats in the womb of Mother Nature, this Church was established five decades back for the spiritual needs of the Jacobites who migrated from Piravom - Moovattupuzha areas of Kerala to this part of India around 60 years back.  The Church is presently under the Spiritual care of the Metropolitan of the Honavar Mission and is one of the most vibrant and active parishes in the Southern Karnataka belt.
